The Legend of Loch na Péiste Here is a recording I made back in January 2020 of Eddie Warren, from Gurteen, Templeshanbo, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, talking about a legend of a serpent or eel that tormented the people of Gurteen centuries ago. The very eel (or serpent) was eventually caught after it swallowed a man, who, using a knife, cut himself free from inside its body.
