The Long March 2F carrier rocket, which will carry the Tiangong-2 space lab into the space, is a liquid-fueled rocket, consisting of two main parts - the first and the second stage. Around its first stage are four liquid-fueled strap-on boosters, through which huge extra thrust can be supplied, enabling the rocket to lift the Tiangong-2 that weighs 8.5 tons. This week we said goodbye to one of our oldest satellites. After almost 29 years in space, our second European Remote Sensing, ERS-2, reentered Earth's atmosphere over the North Pacific Ocean.
